What exactly is Terracovas?
Terracovas is a two-part biological soil amendment system. By keeping our "Bio-Catalyst" liquids and "Soil Reef" solids separate until the moment you water, we provide a fresher, more potent, and shelf-stable alternative to traditional organic fertilizers.
How is this different from "compost tea"?
Traditional compost tea requires 24–48 hours of messy aeration and smells like a swamp. Terracovas gives you the biological benefits of compost tea—microbial fuel and structural support—instantly. No brewing, no bubbles, no smell.
Is it safe for pets and children?
Yes. Our ingredients (humic acid, kelp, molasses, potash, charcoal, and Avena sativa) are all-natural and organic. While we don't recommend eating it (it’s for the plants!), it is safe to use in homes with curious pets and kids.
Can I use this on all types of plants?
Absolutely. Terracovas is formulated for everything from delicate indoor Fiddle Leaf Figs to heavy-feeding backyard tomato plants. It is particularly effective for plants showing signs of stress or slow growth.
What if I only need half a gallon?
No problem! Simply use half a sachet and squeeze the bottle halfway to the next notch. Seal the sachet with a clip to keep moisture out, and it will be ready for your next session.
The black powder doesn’t fully dissolve. Is that normal?
Yes! That is the Biochar. Unlike chemical salts, Biochar is a physical mineral that stays in the soil forever to act as a "microbial apartment complex." Give your watering can a quick swirl as you pour to ensure it makes it into the soil.
Does it smell?
Unlike fish-based fertilizers, Terracovas has a mild, earthy, and slightly sweet scent (thanks to the molasses). It is 100% indoor-friendly and won’t leave your space smelling like the ocean.
How long do the kits last?
As long as you keep the Step 1 bottle closed and the Step 2 sachets dry, your kit is shelf-stable for 2+ years. We recommend storing them in a cool, dark place like a cabinet or garage shelf.
Why is there flour in the dry mix?
Flour serves as a "fungal food." While the molasses feeds beneficial bacteria, the complex carbohydrates in the flour help kickstart the growth of beneficial mycorrhizal fungi in your soil.
Will this stain my pots or walkways?
Because of the humic acid and charcoal, the concentrated liquid is very dark. Once diluted in a gallon of water, it should not stain. However, we always recommend wiping any drips off light-colored ceramic pots or decorative saucers just to be safe.
Do you offer a subscription?
Yes! You can sign up for our Season Pass to have a fresh Standard Kit delivered to your door every 4 months at a discounted rate.
What is your return policy?
We stand by our soil science. If you don't see happier, heartier plants within 30 days, reach out to us for a full refund.
